I’m Sophie, an architect by profession and an artist at heart. Having grown up abroad before finding my roots in Copenhagen, I’ve always been fascinated by the way people move through, inhabit, and connect with the cities around them.

After temporarily stepping away from the pace of working life and moving to Florence to study art, I was reminded to slow down and notice the simple moments — the people, places, moments and interactions that often pass us by.

Pause the Pace is an exploration of these observations through painting: bringing art into new surrounding, embedded into the city itself.
